This is an antique battery charger made by Atlas, Model 55-C. My great-grandfather and his daddy owned and operated a gas station in Ontonagon from the early 1900's to the 1950's. This device originated from the old station. It has been kept inside all this time. It's about 51/2 feet tall, 2 feet broad, and has a rack that extends 16" in the front. I've done quite a bit of research, however have not discovered much about this item, so I'm supposing it's not a genuine common product. I think it was made in the 1930's. The only one of these I've discovered opted for $400. We will certainly think about all offers! We have a couple of other items from the old station left - a safe & air compressor from 1928.
