I got this antique iron baby crib for my daughter in 1973 from a dealership in West Chicago, Illinois. We sandblasted it and painted it with non-toxic paint and utilized it until she outgrew it. After relocating to the Pacific Northwest, I had my own shop and used it for years as a prop, display piece. Now retired, it is time to reduce. The bed was re sandblasted and painted in non-lead gloss white paint in approx. 1995. We removed the old side that increased and welded the 3 pieces together as a loveseat. It has actually just been utilized as a display ever since. The spring area is original, the plywood top with well finished frame was built to fit into the spring location for stability. I got a 5" thick piece of heavy foam that works wonderful and you can cover it anyway you like and it looks great!The total size is 521/2" long by 283/4" large by 421/2" high at the acme on the sides.The spring area comes out as does the plywood base. The 3 sides are bonded together. It is exceptionally strong and not too heavy. There are some scratches and regular wear and tear however in exceptional condition with easy touch approximately make it best.
