Made of vulcanized fibre, covering wood, it boasts a dark green color and brass handle finish, giving it an antique charm. Fully assembled and standing at 41 inches tall, 21 inches long, and 22 inches wide, this rectangular chest is perfect for storing clothes and other personal items. The Seward Trunk and Bag Co. brand is known for its quality and durability, and this Steamer Trunk is no exception. Featuring all original hangers, drawers, and a functional key (not original), it also includes a wardrobe section for hanging clothes. The leather handle material adds to its vintage feel. This Edwardian Time Period Manufactured piece is a unique find, and its theme of travel makes it a great conversation starter. Perfect for use or décor. All photos are of the actual item. recent prices of these are as high as 3500 for pristine condition and 500 for absolute junk. This would be in the average mid range fair to good condition. As shown in the photos there are scuffs scrapes and blemishes. The bottom side has some of the fibre layer missing and separating, also shown in photo. the outside trunk lock does not have a key. Also the lock has been bent and does not lock or unlock either. The key I made fits the inside drawer lock bar, it is not perfect but will work, might need to wiggle a little but a 1/4 turn clockwise is all you need to unlock. I placed the key in the briefcase on the wardrobe side. I hope this item goes to a wonderful home where it will receive many years of use.
