I have an early numbers Post-war Schwinn Heavy here 4-Sale. Runs on the Fat Tire White-Walls, single speed. I do not know anything about the particulars of what the bike was like when brand-new, except that it was just made from 1948-1953. That and in California a rather much bare frame was the exact same as a hundred dollar bill to the Schwinn Guys. I turned that down several times. It does has the tabs for Fenders and Chain Guard.The pedals and cranks are in fine working order and look orig? I'm no specialist however it looks to have the initial Bars and Grips too. It has a later Schwinn Approved Mattress Saddle on it.The Head-Badge is not right however is in good condition. Springer was fitted later and is not initial to this bike. It includes a headlamp that runs the front tire.I've had this one for practically 20 years. and it has constantly served me well. It is developed like a tank.The front tube is leaking however the rear tire/tube is relatively new (2 years possibly) The front tire is OK but I hadn't had an opportunity to get around to changing it. The Rear baggage stays with me unless you truly desire it enough to pay the silly price I'm gonna' ask for it. It is out of the 1970s Schwinn Catalog and will transport two bags of groceries or more 12-paks.With 32psi in the Fat Tires, Front Springer and with the seat having the Rear Susp (pun planned) it is one cushy flight.I don't ride as much as I utilized to so I'm selling a few bikes and motorcycles to raise the cash money to obtain me back on the roadway in/on something with an engine on it.Gimme a call and come out and take a look.
