Props to Blessing for making this design available! Not often Lausmann makes copies of Schilke or Yamaha designs, but it's always nice to see them adding variety to the slate of new-yet-affordable trumpet mouthpieces. The 14A4a was supposedly designed for Forrest Buchtel decades ago. The Schilke version mutated a bit over the years before Yamaha began making it starting in the 1970s. The Blessing version - made in Nauheim, Germany - is close to the Yamaha version, and very comparable to the Vincent Bach 3D. The Blessing has a larger backbore than both, however, in spite of the "a" backbore designation. Schilke/Yamaha use "a" to designate their tightest backbore. The Blessing 14A4a appears to have been introduced in the later 2010s, after its acquisition by St Louis Music. While not my preferred mouthpiece, it's good to see this being produced. I prefer it to the other 14A4a versions, but I would like to see more 13A4 clones as Lausmann has made before. This Blessing example was traced and barely played, and only has some microscratches and a few light nicks. It's ready to play!Sold as-is, no returns, pay within 3 days.
