I bought this horn for parts but it plays way too well to break up. It's a Blessing Standard with a few twists. Aside from the "Emperor Sansone..." engraving, this horn has a reversed tuning slide and 3rd valve slide. It's a XL bore instrument- 0.467". Valves: great compression, smooth and fast. All slides are smooth and the 3rd slide operates nicely with the fixed finger ring. Raw brass. Valve alignment was checked and is perfect as-is. Comes with an old case that is solid and works. Small dent in the valve knuckle and you can see signs of bell repair but clearly, playability is not affected. Serial number is 54484 - made 1950-51. This is a strong projecting, free-blowing, big core horn with an easy-to-reach, high register (compared to my Schilke B1). It produces a symphonic sound with a Schilke 20 mouthpiece, lights up with a 14 A4A, and projects a fat upper register with an Olds Mandez 2. No mouthpiece is included.
