CASH ONLY-- CHESS SET, a number of century old. Chess pieces are HAND CARVED IVORY. The chess board is hand made and hand repainted in gold. I tried taking close up pics to reveal the details in the paintings around the board. The board closes into an oblong type box to keep pieces kept. My Great Grandfather acquired this from an old man in Germany in the late 1800s. When he bought it, he was informed it was very really old. In 1918, my Great Grandfather provided it to my Grandfather. Then I received it in 1983. Ive NEVER taken it out. I only carefully opened the Chess Board/Box to take these photos. If you look close. You can even see the cotton that its laid in, is a couple of hundred yrs old. I had this appraised in 1988. The appraisals were in between $10,000-$12,000. ONLY SERIOUS INQUIRIES PLEASE.
