Kazuo Sato was born in Tokyo in 1946. In 1965, he began learning his craft under the guidance of guitar master Kuniharu Nobe. In the same year, Kazuo Sato started his apprenticeship with guitar master Nobe in Tokyo. In 1971, he traveled to Oxford, England to study under the renowned master David Rubio, under whose guidance he built guitars and lutes for over 4 years, perfecting his skills. In 1974, he opened his first workshop in Belgium and settled in Germany two years later. With ever-new ideas and innovations, he continues to push forward the development of the traditional concert guitar to this day.The “Prestige” model by Hideo Sato stands as a pinnacle of craftsmanship, nestling at the very top of his guitar lineup.
