Description:
This is an Elkhart era 8D with a new custom leadpipe and bell ordered directly from Conn specifically for this horn. The bell has an Alexander ringset installed by Pope in NY. The horn is unlacquered and has a sweet patina/glaze.It will come with a detachable-bell gig bag and a gold-plated ORIGINAL Conn DC mouthpiece. The leather hand guard and plastic bell assembly protector will also be included.There is a small dent visible just past the 3rd valve…it’s been there ever since I’ve owned this horn and does not affect its’ playing. Valve compression is tight and this horn centers well.Serial # M50076 Year 1969I am a retired band director and do not play anymore. Hoping this gets into the hands of a music major or someone who will take care of it!
