Yes, Madonna owned this same model bike in this amazing rare color. This is NOT her bike…This DeRosa Professional SLX with itsspectacular Campagnolo components was owned by my good friend Pat. Pat loved this bike and it shows. It was kept in his apartment, professionally maintained, and to me looks showroom new. Pristine. Pat lived in New York City. He and I would often ride loops in Central Park, usually ending with a cold beer at the Model Boat Pond. Even though I had a fancy new carbon bike with fiber optic shifting I might as well have been on a rusty tricycle because when we rode together, Pat’a DeRosa got 100% of the attention. My good friend Pat passed away suddenly two years ago. After his tragic death his wonderful wife gave me his bike. I was honored and moved but I felt this extraordinary ride had a higher purpose. To be honest it’s a tad small for me and I’m a Cannondale guy so I want this beautiful example of a seminal bike brand to be in the hands of a true DeRosa fan. Someone who will appreciate everything it represents and most important, ride it with pride. 100% of the Funds raised from the sale will go to Pat’a wife in his memory. I know such a truly generous and caring guy like Pat would appreciate that very much. What greater purpose could there be. Seat tube 55, top tube 54, down tube 63Some of the photos make it look like a darker purple. The true color is more like a light violet. If you have questions please ask. I assume the last tuneup was 3 or so years ago. It’s clean and ready to go. Shipping will be in a pro-packed bike box via Fedex. Thanks.
