I believe that this is a very early 1900s display hutch. It is clearly hand-made. The scroll work is done by hand and the top of the piece reveals indicators of hand-planing. The wood is walnut / mahogany and it is strong wood. The 2 small doors at the bottom are veneer inlay. The two shelves have been refinished and rubbed with teak oil to match the rest of the hutch. The one thing it is missing is a latch for the glass door however it lays shut quite perfectly. It is 571/2 inches tall (not counting the leading scroll piece), 46 inches broad, and 16 inches in depth. All of the legs are solid and strong and all of the doors work.
