Up for auction is an early Elkhart Bach Stradivarius trumpet with a 72 standard weight bell. This horn has a serial number of 46388. The trumpet plays really nice with a darker sound due to the larger bell. This particular trumpet is the Vindabona version. This means that the 72 bell is mated with a 43 leadpipe and a dual bore tuning slide with a .453 top tube and .459 bottom tube. This creates a really nice affect with the sound and articulation. I feel that it sounds dark and the centers of the notes are very easy to find. The horn has some blemishes due to age, but it is a great player. The valves are very good and the slides all work properly. A Gator gig bag will be shipped with the horn to the winner. Any questions please ask. Thank you for your consideration.
