You are looking at a very nice, huge Cluster of pink halite collected from the brine pools of Searle's lake in Trona, California. The piece measures 11 inches Wide, 7 1/2 inches Tall and 4 1/2 inches Thick and Weighs 9 1/2 pounds. The crystals have a Beautiful light pink color. The crystals are well stacked and layered and have nice, sharp edges. The largest crystals measure more than 3/4 inch. This big piece of beautiful halite displays very well and will make a great addition to even the best mineral collection. Layering of the matrix can be seen where the piece was broken from the salty pool. The pink color comes from the bacteria in the water in which the crystals grow.
