This Antique and original Flat top steamer trunk is the perfect addition to any room. The rectangular shape, with EXTERIOR dimensions of 36 inches in length, 20.5 inches in width, and 12.5 inches in height, makes it suitable for storing linens, wine, or even paper documents. The INTERIOR dimensions are 35 inches in length, 20 inches in width, and 12 inches in height, making it perfect for many storage needs. I've owned it for the last 40 years and have kept my kids childhood encyclopedias stored inside. I finally donated the encyclopedia's and now its time to find a new home for this wonderful trunk.The trunk is fully assembled, with a hinge door mechanism, leather handles, (1 which is damaged - shown in photos) wood slats, metal, and brass finish details. The trunk comes lined in its original lining which is torn and flawed in areas; although intact and can be cleaned with a dry cloth. This trunk is suitable for use as a coffee table, storage, or as a decorative item in any room.
