Set of 4 globe Christmas tree ornaments covered with the colorfully printed paper known as Florentine paper. This traditional paper design features stylized floral motifs arranged in intricate patterns that were inspired by Italian Renassiance design and is used in Italy to decorate everything from stationery and books to picture frames and trinket boxes. Deep red and green motifs on a rich golden background, with a glossy paper-mache finish. Red cord hanger molded into top. Unusual addition to holiday decorations.Very good condition. Some cracking in finish around hanger.Acquired in Italy (1991)2.75" DIA
