I am selling a Jamis Explorer, 26" wheel mountain bike. It is a tall bike, and it fits me (6' 4") comfortably. I don't need it anymore, and am selling it for $50. Here are the reasons it is priced at 50: 1) The front brake doesn't work. The brake pads are there but I am missing a piece that helps keep proper tension. See picture for more info. 2) The back brake works, but not that well. It won't stop you quickly. 3) The back wheel looks to be rupturing a little bit. See picture. 4) The back wheel visibly wobbles when riding, making it seem like something is wrong with the axle. It still feels smooth, but it can't be good for the bike. 5) Due to the wobbling and possible friction with the front/back brakes, the bike is relatively more difficult to ride than other bikes. You have to spend more energy to go the same speed as other bikes. The gears still work and change correctly, although I kept it at pretty much one speed for riding to and from campus. Despite all the problems with it that I just listed, I have been using it on a daily basis up until yesterday (just to and from campus), and that includes two months AFTER all these problems started. Because it's still in rideable condition, I think it's worth $50.
