Fanch Ledan was born in France (1949) the youngest child of a doctor and dentist. Known for his sense of detail, subtle colors, and amazing perspectives, he has created art that is widely admired and collected from around the world. He often creates combinations of locations that cannot exist in reality. His interior scenes, dubbed “interior scapes,” often feature the paintings of artists he most admires in order to pay homage to their influences on his own art. Human figures are absent, only the remnants of people who live in the space are found.Treasure hunting has always been a pure delight for us, especially in the Hollywood Hills outside of Los Angeles. In March this year we visited a bustling estate sale right around the corner from the famous “Sunset Strip.” Inside this mansion’s massive hallway’s were a couple of Fanch Ledan’s “interior scapes” that immediately brilliance captured our eye’s.
