I got these La Sportiva Omega treking boots this year and used them on a two week trip on the Appalachian trail. Made in Italy, they are unbelievably strong, almost no bend in the sole at all, likewise definitely water evidence with breathable Gore-Tex technology and Vibram soles. They provided me absolutely no blisters but I discovered I like lighter boots. If you are trying to find something that might last you the whole Appalachian trail or maybe your entire life if you are more of a weekend hiker, these would be the boots for you. They normally retail for 240$, I'm requesting 70$.
