Wood/coal burning range. We have a 2500 square foot 2 story home, and it has actually warmed our residence effectively for the past 3 winter seasons. With this running, we really hardly ever need to use our gas heating system, which conserved us a load of cash last winter season. Burns logs up to 2 feet long. When a fire is going, body does have some cracks that you can see. The fractures are located on the front hopper door. And as noted they are so small that you can not really see them unless a fire is going. I do believe it would have the ability to hold a weld, but don't quote me on that. Motor/blower work perfectly.
