This exquisite painting faintly signed lower right believed to be Jean Keuterickx (1907-1969) picture 13 and noted to the artist on the rear of the stretcher. The piece captures the essence of mid-century modernism and impressionism. The colors and detailed brushwork bring to life a scene of wine, onions, a basket, and a jug in a way that is both striking and serene. The painting is ornately framed, making it a one-of-a-kind piece that is sure to impress.The painting framed measures approximately 31.5 inches in length and 27.5 inches in height. The canvas is firmly stretched with no dents or holes. The canvas is a little loose in the frame and could use some attention to be re-secured. The canvas measures 24 inches long by 20 inches long. About the artist:Jean B. Keuterickx. is California artist owned the Flemish Art Shop and was a well known fuxture of the California art scene.Biography:Jean B. KeuterickxBorn in Brussels, Belgium on Sept. 28, 1907. Keuterickx studied in his native city at Academy Monmarts and Royal Academy. After his art studies, he later settled in North Hollywood and became active in the local art scene. He exhibited with the California Art Club and taught at Laguna Beach Art Institute and Valley Art Guild.
