For sale: A King 7B double valve bass trombone with a Benge Symphonic 290 bell.The horn was bought new and played professionally. It does show wear in the laquer finish and in the bell from mutes.This horn was one of my father's, he was a full time trombonist and purchased the horn for playing jazz.He found the horn to be "tubby" with the original larger bell and not having a focused and responsive tone, so he had the bell professionally replaced with a smaller 10" Benge Symphonic 290 bell.The Benge bell has a higher copper content than the original King bell hence the darker coloring.The work was done by Wayne Tanabi of the Brass Bow who is now a senior technical manager for Yamaha Artist Services.There are no dents in the slide tubes, there is a small dent in the slide bow which DOES NOT affect the slide. The horn is in absolute playable condition, sounds fantastic, and is much better with the smaller bell.Please see the photos.
