Old Lachenal 48 key concertina in its original fitted wooden case with key. The instrument is gorgeous with mother-of-pearl inlays and nice fretwork along with decorative bellows. It measures 6 1/4 inches from side to opposite side, while the case is 7 1/8 inches across. The serial number may date it to 1904, but that may not be quite right. It may need some tuning, but the bellows is all intact with no holes or splits and the keys all operate. There is slight chipping of the veneer at the bottom of the case.
