Lovely "White Light" Lantern made by Nippon Sento. I think this is called a "Not Under Command" Light/Lantern.BRASS. This lantern is in EXCELLENT, sensational condition. It has actually been wired to be a hanging electric light, however electrical wiring can be removed or altered to fit taste.Measures 231/2" tall, with an add'l 18" for the length of the chain. It measure 40" around at largest point, and 32" around at the base.Lantern has been thoroughly polished to show quality. Crannies and nooks still require some polishing attention, but we left it that method in case a more natural look was preferred. (NOTE: If you see any white dirty stuff on brass OR glass, it's simply some polish residue).REALLY RARE, show-stopping piece.$550, obo ... cash only, happy.Found in Mount Vernon.
