The GIR 17S is one piece, with an inside rim diameter of 0.610″, and a shallow bowl shaped cup, identical to the original. The throat is a #27, and the backbore is a Legends S. This mouthpiece was once sought after by lead trumpet players as a comfortable and reliable workhorse in the upper register.
