This will be a long description but I want to cover as much as I can. I picked up this kit up with the plan to fully restore it, but time and other projects have taken priority so I'm hoping there is someone else out there who wants to finish the job. Here are the details of each drum so you know what you are getting and what is needed. Pricing has taken into account the condition of the kit as it sits. First of all, all drums have similar 105xxx keystone serial numbers and red felt baseball bat mufflers which indicates the kit is circa 1964-65. The shells also came together as a factory kit according to the original owner. All seams are tight and wrapped into the shell. No date stamps, no extra holes. The white paint on the inside of the shells has started to flake.8"x 12" Tom. Drum is in round, bearing edges are untouched. There is a small ding on the batter side edge and some chaffer on the resonant side edge (see pictures). Chrome mini classic lugs, tom mount bracket with unoriginal wingnut, tension rods are not all original. The top hoop appears to be original chrome over brass Ludwig hoop that is slightly out of round. The bottom hoop is a chrome over steel import hoop also slightly out of round. The bottom head is a brand new Remo Clear Ambassador that fits a little snug (typical). The top head is a new Remo Coated Ambassador Classic Fit. The drum tunes up easily and sounds nice.14"x 14" Floor Tom. Drum is out of round (see tape measure photos), bearing edges are in nice shape and untouched. There is some slight reinforcment rim separation and one area where the rerings was reglued. Structurally the reinforcment hoops are in there well and might need to be removed and reglued if someone wants to fix the roundness of the shell. There is also some widening of one of the floor tom leg bracket holes (see picture). The drum has chrome classic lugs, however the reso head only has 3 lugs and needs 5 more to complete it. The batter side has all the lugs, tension rods are not all original. The top hoop looks to be the original Chrome over Brass Ludwig which needs to be put back in round. There is no bottom hoop and there are no floor tom legs or brackets.14"x 20" Bass Drum. Drum is in round, bearing edges are in nice shape and untouched. The drum has the spurs and chrome classic lugs although the lugs on the resonant side of the drum are Ludwig but not original to the drum and have a shorter nut receiver than the lugs on the batter side. The cymbal stand holder bracket and the rail consolette are missing. There is one original hoop with the original Blue Oyster Inlay which had been reglued at some point. There is no front hoop or head. Lastly, there are only two original Ludwig claws and tension rods on the bass drum. The other 6 are Gibraltar tension rods and generic claws.Please look at the pictures as they are part of the description, sales are final so ask any questions you have and I will do my best to answer them.
