Miniature / small Mimi Nieman signed print titled "Fishtown Harbor Leland" This print depicts a fishing harbor in hues of green, blue, white, plum and brown.Artist signature in pencil. Single mat and gold metal frame.Frame measures 6 1/4" high x 8 1/4" wide.Print and frame in great condition. Hand writing on back.About the artist:(American b. 1934 - 2022)Known for her delightful impressionistic plein-air landscapes, lake scenes, and paintings of children, Mimi Nieman was a professional painter for more than forty years. Many of her works capture the American and European landscapes that she came across during her travels. Her colorful drawings and paintings of children allow the viewer to share innocent moments in the life of a child.As a young girl, Nieman gained her first creative experience in her father's art studio. The daughter of artist Matthew Wagner, she painted by his side, enthralled by the beauty that emerged from his canvases.Upon graduation from high school, Nieman received a scholarship to the Art Academy of Cincinnati. During her studies her work became the center of her world and would lead to a lifelong love of painting. After graduating from AAC, she continued her education, receiving a B.S. Degree in Art Education from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.A native Cincinnatian, Nieman returned to her hometown after living in Carmel, California and Leelanau County, Michigan for several years.
