Looking to sell a perfectly working Motorola Surfboard SB4100 cable television modem for $15, or to trade for computer parts, non-working LCD Monitors or tvs, or other working electronics or devices. I used this for several years with Charter cable internet service prior to just recently upgrading my modem. I'm not truly looking for anything particular in trade for this. Let me know exactly what you have and possibly we can strike an offer. NOT INTERESTED IN OLD CRT MONITORS OR TVs ... Why pay a modem rental fee every month to your internet service supplier, when you can own your very own modem and conserve! Cable television modems are universal and will deal with ANY cable television TV web service, but, check with your carrier to be sure they permit you to utilize your very own modem. Charter does, others could. Using your own cable television modem is simple. Jot down the MAC address off the label on the modem you purchase and hook it up in place of your providers modem. Bring the MAC address together with your companies modem in to your regional cable television office, then just hand them their modem and tell them you purchased your own. Hand them the MAC address of your modem, and inquire to trigger it on their service. DONE!
