I am regretfully lastly all set to let go of my first vintage bicycle, a Womens / Girls 1950 (identification number matches 1950 exactly !!) Columbia 26" Five Star Superb. I bought it about a decade earlier, and at the time it was a rust container !! We did an overhaul of the bicycle and cleaned/greased everything. The bike was sanded down and totally repainted with a customized expert paint task (Blue pearl / white combination). We had the sprocket, handlebars, and some miscellaneous metal pieces rechromed. Added new white wall tires, new custom metal grips, brand-new white pedals, brand-new white seat, new decals, new front fender light, etc . At this time, the bicycle needs some TLC (absolutely nothing significant). The paint has held up well, but there are some dings/imperfections from breaking down the bike and moving it for many years, but small as you can see in the pictures on the kick stand and near the decal on the chain guard. The tires require to be pumped up, and it requires a new inner tube for the back wheel. The front light works, however needs batteries (you can get them at radio shack). The bike also needs a back rack at this time. I got a correct columbia back rack for it years back, however wasn't conscious it was bare metal, so it became very rusty. I can include this in the purchase in case you really want to make use of it. Aside from that, the bike is full with tank. The sprocket/chain is not an avoid tooth, so no worrying about changing costly chains that are not manufactured, nice.:) All the difficult work has been done, just some minor tlc stuff. Each time I ride this bike I have always gotten looks and remarks, it is really a gorgeous bike polished up! I have grown too lazy to keep up with it and we require to make space in our utility room so we can get a washer/dryer. I was even incredibly lazy with the awful photographs which do it no justice, but hey, it's a lot, as I don't desire to go through the trouble to simplify and ship via Ebay.
