Pre- 1949 (that's when the commies took over China) chamber stool for a chamber pot. This will make an excellent conversation piece in your residence. Prior to there was running water, people utilized pots after dark to do their doody. The servant would come and do the removal in the morning. This clearly originated from a well-to-do family. Photos reveal in-laid wood patterns. Original finish -never ever been tampered with. Mahogany.
