This is a Pre-War 1928 Gibson Mastertone 5 string Archtop TB conversion Banjo.Includes ORIGINAL Gibson tenor neck as well.This banjo is in EXCELLENT condition with only minor cosmetic wear on the back of the original resonator.This banjo was purchased years ago from Charlie Cushman, banjo player for the ‘Earls of Leicester’ bluegrass band in Nashville, Tennessee. Serial # 9080 - 2This is a very tight and crisp sounding banjo. These pre war Mastertone banjos are getting harder and harder to find, and are a definite investment. This banjo was just appraised by Carters Vintage Guitars in Nashville, Tennessee for $4,000. (Email proof provided by request)God bless and Merry Christmas
