My great-grandmother gotten this Base & Cabinet and a sewing device to sew clothing for my now 94-yr-old mommy, so it was bought in the very early or mid-1920's. A website called "Singer Through the Ages, 1850 - 1940" (http://www.sewalot.com/singer_through_the_ages.htm) reveals a photo from 1908 that looks precisely like this metal base, with the next image from 1911 revealing a desk-like cabinet, without any metal base at all. However I do not understand for sure when this base and cabinet are from; I simply know it is rather old.Included is a Singer stitching device, Model 337. The sewing device itself is from about 1964-65. It still works great, my mom states.Kindly reply by email if you would such as to come look at it. Thanks for your interest.
