The story goes, this beautiful Colnago Master MTB frame was displayed in the Colnago booth at the1994 Chicago Bike show. A Chicago Colnago dealer purchased it and it was built up with primarily Shimano XTR components. After a few years of ownership and only a handful of rides it was sold to another Chicago bike shop owner who proceeded to display it in his shop for 20 plus years. I purchased it from him. It's in stunning condition and other than the turbo suede seat, panaracer smoke dart tiresand grips it's as it was when it was first built up. Colnago Master tubing and paint are just beautiful. It is tough to photograph and get a representation of the tube's diamond shape and paint detail. Ringle qr skewers and seat post. Full xtr. Seat post has scratches.I’ve ridden this bike regularly on bike paths. Everything works as it should a few tiny paint chips but overall stunning nearly new condition. Has to be one of the finest examples in the world. It’s just too big for me. Funding another project I’ll get some measurements up but I’d say it’s in the medium to medium large range.See my other auctions for more rare, mint vintage mountain bikes.Pictures tell the story.
