Listing for a personalized, wooden violin string case with eight tubes. The personalized plate is silver and has hallmarks. This was previously owned by R D Waddell who is a former 'Betts' Stradivarius violin owner. He was a Scottish sausage manufacturer from Glasgow and had purchased his Stradivarius from Robert E. Brandt then sold it to Jay C. Freeman in 1923.Four of the tubes have strings and four have handwritten labels. Case measures 26 1/4" x 6 3/4" x 1 3/4"Nice, vintage case of solid construction. Case has scuffs and wear throughout. Does not have key! Opens and closes fine without it; Doesn't latch locked. Some of the aluminum tubes have dents.
