A pair of very unique vintage pre-owned Revo Model 541/001 sunglasses with a matted durable charcoal/black color nylon frame and original Revo brown polycarbonate full-shield mirror lens. It has had only one owner since the early 1990's. Revo was founded in 1985 by Dr. Mitch Ruda, a NASA astrophysicist and optical engineer. Revo s signature technology is based on lens coatings Dr. Ruda formulated at NASA as solar protection for satellites. Revo used these coatings in crafting its sunglass lenses to protect the eye. "Revo [thus became] the original performance sunglass brand with best-in-class lens technology" Cliff Robinson, Revo CEO. The sunglasses are believed to be from the Revo Sports/Competition Collection, launched by Revo in 1994. The Revo logo is embossed on the outside of both temples. The model number "541/001 FrameFrance" is inscribed on the inner right temple. The frame is 5 1/2 inches (approx.) temple to temple. The unique one piece lens extends the entire length of the frame. The solid sunglasses present spectacularly well and are great for everyday wear.
