Here's a gem from the glory days of audio-- the venerable Rotel RX-102 MKII Receiver. In the Seventies while all the attention was being paid to the usual brushed aluminum suspects from Japan, Rotel was kicking out some gorgeous sounding gear. Case in point. . . Marvelous detail retrieval, sweet soundstage and very dynamic. Very refined. You can put this RX-102 up against anything on the shelf today. Hallmark British sound. Great percussive snap. Articulate. It keeps you coming back for more. As to be expected from such fine vintage gear, a quality AM/FM receiver with tuning meter. When it came to radio reproduction, Rotel was committed to greatness and it shows. Today, let's face it, the tuner is an afterthought on most receivers."Wood grain" body with brushed aluminum face.
