Set of 6 really uncommon balloon back chairs made from strong walnut. These chairs were rescued from an estate sale at a plantation near Charleston, SC, and I was informed they were made at some time around 1840. They are balloon back chairs; however, the balloon back is in the shape of a heart. Complex sculpting on the seat backs and front legs (kindly reference pictures). I utilized the chairs as dining room chairs but I no more stay in a house with a dining room. The chairs are around 30" tall and 16" deep. They had actually been reupholstered on the seats when I got them in a green stripe. Please email me if you have any questions or would such as even more details.
