I've used this play mainly for CDs and SACDs and it has audiophile type sound, even playing well with CDs that skip on my other players. I've also tested it, though, to make sure the video aspect is working, and it is working fine. This was Sony's TOTL unit in its day, with a MSRP of $1000. One thing to note is that when playing a hybrid SACD disc, it will not play the SACD layer, only the CD layer. That's the only reason I have it for parts or repair. Single layer stereo SACDs play fine. This is a common issue with older players, because the SACD layer of hybrids is harder for the laser to read. Usually this is solved by laser replacement. Remote not included. Please check the 'Condition description' and all pictures for cosmetics.Buy with confidence from a seller with 15 years of experience selling audio equipment.
