This is an exceptional piece of history both from a med and Cold War stand point. This is "Drain and Suction Apparatus" for surgery that an that was locked away and is still "brand-new" in the crate packaged 8/55. It looks perfect and is close to 60 years of ages. This was recently found hidden given that around that time. The expectancy was that if there was a nuclear danger, this was on hand to use for emergency surgical treatment in a Civil Defense Emergengy Hospital. It was made by the Phelan MFG Corp, Minneapolis.
