Victor Victrola, The Victor Talking Machine, antique phonograph. VV-XIV.It is in exceptional working Condition. Lovely Cherry Wood surface. Casters work perfectly. Records consisted of. The XIV was presented in 1910 to fill the space between the brand-new tabletop VV-X and VV-XI designs and the $200 flagship VV-XVI. The earliest XIV designs had a square, rather plain appearance, with very little ornamental trim and uncommon rounded Queen Anne legs (left). These models used gold plated hardware. The design was modernized in late 1912 (right), initially appearing more like a large variation of its cheaper cousin, the VV-XI. At the same time, the gold plating on the hardware was changed with a nickel plate. The cabinet was once again changed in 1914 (below left), and increased in size, appearing an increasing number of similar to its "huge brother" VV-XVI model. The final cabinet modification took place in 1917 (below right) till production was ended in 1921. The XIV was offered in a range of wood finishes, but mahogany was without a doubt the most popular choice. The very early Queen Anne model is sought-after by collectors today.
