FYI..VHS RECORDER DOESNT SEEM TO TAKE IN TAPE..AND WHEN IT DOES..IT GETS STUCK CAUSING THE TV TO TURN OFF..WHAT I DID WAS I USED A TOOTHBRUSH TO PUSH DOWN LEVER TO TRY TO KEEP TV ON IT IS A TASK BUT ADVENTUALLY IT WILL GET UNSTUCK AND THE TV WILL STAY ON OR OFF AFTER ITS FIXED..I DID GET THE LEVER OF THE TAPE HOLDER DOWN AND IT WORKS FINE NOW..YOU CAN TURN TV ON WITHOUT A PROBLEM..JUST BE CAREFUL GAMERS IF YOU DO TRY TO FIX IT YOURSELF..AS A GAMER MYSELF..I CAN WATCH BLURAYS ON ANOTHER CONSOLE...AND KEEP THIS TV FOR STRICTLY GAMING...THANK YOU SORRY SO LONG OF A NOTE...i suggest yoy take it to a professional just in case..i sold one of these jist resently and had similar problem with the vhs tape..so i will make this a buy it now with free shipping so you dont have to worry about shipping cost..the tv works fine..so retro gaming with be great on this tv..most people like the tv for games....This vintage 1999 Philips CRT TV VCR Combo is a great addition to any retro gaming setup.
