Cool little 5 watt 1x8 tube amp resembles an inadequate man's Fender Champ amp! Currently, it works, but, it is not as loud as it must be. A little TLC would make this little thing scream like it should. I am not an amp tech however I am sure that it is a simple fix. I require funds or I 'd keep it and get the necessary work done on it. From Silvertone World:.The Dano-built, grey-covered 1481 continued the standard look and price/power point of its predecessor, the 1471, but changed its planning to swing with the 'stacked' 1484s, 1485s and the later strong state amps of this last unified line of Dano-built Silvertone amps. This fine little champ was readily available ideal 'til the end of Dano's association with Sears, gone from the magazines in 1968, however you could still get hold of one up until very early 1969. Presented: Spring/Summer 1963. Retired: Fall/Winter 1968.
