This vintage Japanese moriage dragonware tea set go back from 1921 to 1947. Moriage refers to the layering of small beads or lines of clay onto the pottery piece. This is then glazed over and raised to offer a 3 dimensional appearance. Each piece is hand painted. The teacups are all lithopanes with a lady (geisha woman?) picture on the within bottom. The set is in outstanding condition and potentially has actually never been used. The set consists of: Teapot, creamer & sugar bowls, 6 teacups, 6 dishes and 6 plates. Serious inquires only.
