Here is the story on this bass. First, it sounds and plays fine. Really nice wood and parts. I sought advice from with previous Warrior designer, Bruce Bennett, and this is the story I got. Apparently, an individual in Brazil was building Warrior copy necks and bodies. This is among those. Good wood, walnut, figured maple neck with headstock and body shape in Warrior design. Nice smooth natural type surface. Double truss rod. This was built as a 5 string however transformed to a four, it might be rebuilt with a brand-new nut, bridge, and tuner as a 5 string. Neck is a little large and chunky for my little hands, but fairly typical for a 5 string. Great deal of people like some spacing on the strings. Active EMG pickups. Controls are volume, volume. Tuners are Yamaha. Input jack is like is used in high basses. Does not have any fret pens on neck, which is frustrating to me. Dots on top would be simple to do, or as a task, sky is the limit as to how the fretboard is inlaid. I would consider a trade for this distinct bass that has virtually endless capacity for upgrade or delight in as is.
